Intro to SUP Yoga
Enjoy the adventure of taking your practice to the water in our Intro to SUP Yoga class.This 2 hour session includes an intro to stand up paddle boarding.. learning how to get on the water, how to stabilize and turn your board, and proper paddling technique. We will paddle out and anchor for a series of creatively linked SUP-specific poses, followed by blissful relaxation on your board. Modifications offered for all ability levels, no experience necessary. 2-3 hrs - $55 per session or $300 for 6 sessions

Raised on the coast of Georgia, Jessica Taylor has grown up a salty air, water baby. Her love for the ocean and being outdoors made teaching stand up paddle yoga classes a natural progression. Jessica offers a dynamic Vinyasa Flow class integrating breath and proper alignment. Her creative sequencing makes challenging poses and inversions more accessible, while creating a welcoming environment for all levels to enjoy the natural benefits of yoga & stand up paddleboarding. Jessica and her husband, Ryan, have teamed up with friend and fellow BOGA YOGA Ambassador Rachel Brathen to establish the Island SUP Yoga Instructor Training Program based in Aruba. In addition to the teacher training program, Jessica and Ryan lead yearly international yoga and SUP Yoga retreats. Most recently, Jessica has had the honor of contributing to the 'oneOeight' online yoga platform with yoga & SUP yoga videos which debuted in 2016.

Jessie hails from the mountains of North Carolina where her love for Outdoor Adventure was born. While earning a degree in Anthropology and Art at Appalachian State University she worked for Outdoor Programs, where she learned the essentials of kayaking, backpacking and climbing. She later married her husband who serves as a Rescue Swimmer for the Coast Guard, ultimately bringing her to Savannah, GA in 2016. Her style is light and entertaining while providing a breath- based vinyasa flow that allows you to explore all levels of each pose. Jessie also teaches yoga locally at The Hub and Crossfit Steadfast. Her background as a yoga instructor and love of the outdoors has blended into the perfect fit as a SUP Tour Guide and SUP Yoga Instructor. Jessie has a sunny disposition and relaxed approach that speaks beautifully to experiencing the coastal environment by paddleboard. In addition to teaching yoga, paddle boarding, and trail running with her pups, she enjoys all that is creative including design, photography and videography.
