OVERNIGHT ON LITTLE TYBEE ISLAND
With over 40 miles of waterways, Little Tybee is a somewhat deceiving name. It's 4 miles of Atlantic beaches are home to no one but an awesome array of wildlife. We will spend the first day paddling through the middle of L.T.'s salt marsh to a beach camp on the southern end. Some late afternoon beachcombing, dinner under the stars, and an evening around the campfire make for the perfect day. The next morning, it's a relaxing paddle back to civilization. All boats, gear, and meals provided. A great get away! 2 days/1 night or LT/Wassaw 3 days/2 nights
OSSABAW ISLAND / ARTISTS' RETREAT
Ossabaw Island is Georgia's third biggest barrier island, with over 26,000 acres of gorgeous tidal marsh, maritime forest, dune ridge, and sandy beaches. Ossabaw holds a special function on the Georgia Coast as it maintains an educational framework for the advancement of science and art. It is rich in history and a fascinating place to explore. Together the natural beauty and history of the island have inspired many artists over the years. Join us on this artist's retreat... bring your easel, your camera, or your poetry journal. We will paddle over and base camp at the former site of the 70's Genesis art commune. Over the coming days we will have the option to hike, paddle or ride the truck to all parts of this magnificent island. There are fewer places like this left anymore, and none more important to support. 3 days/2 nights or 4 days/3 nights
CUMBERLAND ISLAND ADVENTURE Cumberland Slideshow
Cumberland Island is designated National Seashore with over 17 miles of beaches and an unforgettably beautiful interior. Great hiking trails cover most of this jungle wilderness. SAPELO ISLAND ADVENTURE Sapelo Island Slideshow
Want to experience something unique? Sapelo Island is one of the most interesting places on the east coast. It is a sub-tropical island paradise that has been home simultaneously to millionaires, scientists, agriculturalists, slaves, and Native Americans. Charles Lindbergh landed his plane on the beach on several occasions. The history of this place is intense and continues to play out today. Day 2 offers time for beach combing, hiking, and island exploration. All boats, gear, and meals provided. Lodging options are available. 3 days/2 nights
FAST & LITE TRIPS:
These trips are designed for those looking for the next step from instruction, with a future desire to undertake their own self-guided kayak adventures. These are fully guided and instructional based trips for paddlers with a basic foundation of paddling skills, but lacking in kayak camping experience. More ground is covered and clients are expected to get involved with the in field decision making and trip planning. We use Little Tybee as our training ground, during which time we will attempt to circumnavigate the island. This program is not recommended for those just starting out in the sport of sea kayaking. These trips are self-catered. 2 days/1 night - $225 per person
COASTAL EXPEDITION TRIPS:
These trips are designed for accomplished paddlers with their own equipment who are looking for a more challenging adventure or need the expertise of a local guide. Much of the paddling is done on the open ocean, in all conditions, and greater distances are covered. They usually follow the formula of hopping from island to island. We supply the guide and trip planning. Boats, gear, and tents can be rented as needed.
GA Coast Expedition - If you have an interest in learning about the more remote areas of the GA Coast, and are an experienced paddler, this is the adventure for you. 6 spaces available. 4 days/3 nights - $625 per person
"Our trip was MORE then we expected in every way!! The dolphins, salt marsh, bonus alligator... made it a trip to remember! Nigel was an excellent guide, and we appreciate his knowledge and expertise - as well as his awareness of ours! I've never camped on a deserted island before, and it was a wonderful experience.
