The Desposito's (Thunderbolt) Boat Ramp is located on the east bank of the Wilmington River just north of Highway 80.
 
Directions from Savannah

Follow Highway 80 (East Victory Drive) east from Savannah, which will take you across the Wilmington River at Thunderbolt. Turn left onto Tech Drive at the eastern foot of the bridge. (Please use extra caution crossing the highway since oncoming traffic can be heavy.) Follow Tech Drive ~ 0.2 miles as it bends back to parallel the highway. Turn right onto Old Tybee Road and follow it to its end a little over a tenth of a mile ahead, passing just to the right of the large marina building. Turn left onto Marye Street. The boat ramp is straight ahead, and the parking area is the grassy area to the right.

Directions from the Islands

From where Islands Expressway splits from Highway 80, follow Highway 80 east toward Thunderbolt and Savannah. Continue through the light at Johnny Mercer Blvd. in ~ 1.1 miles, and cross Gray’s Creek at ~ 1.65 miles. At ~ 2.1 miles turn right onto Macceo Drive, which will become Marye Street. (Please slow down as this is a residential street.) Continue ~0.35 miles to the boat ramp parking area.If you miss the turn onto Macceo Drive, you can continue ~ 0.17 miles (about 900 feet) and take the next right, which is Tech Drive. From here follow the applicable part of the directions from Savannah given above.
